| Customer Reviews: Not bad for someone who hates the look of fanny packs.... July 9, 2010 Mehlani (San Francisco, CA) This is probably the best waist pack for someone who wants to get away from the look of a fanny pack. I ride motorcycles often and was tired of having to store my things in the saddlebags making it unaccessible most of the time especially for long rides. This solves the problem and my most important things are always with me now.
Pros:
Very good size..about the size of a fat wallet. Not so overbearing on your waist that it could ever get too heavy or stand out too much. The size makes it comfortable to wear as well.
Buckle is located on the front of the bag which is awesome for quick attachment and detachment.
Real leather...thick and extremely durable. I can see this lasting through years of use.
Ridiculous number of pockets and many have zippers, Velcro, snaps....great for those who are worried about pickpocketing or things being secure in pack.
Cons:
Waist strap is very short. My hips are about 36" and the strap is close to being let out all the way.
The leather is VERY thick...(although it is smooth and somewhat a soft feel) the thickness gives the bag a stiff feel and the pockets are difficult to expand/doesn't give. Hopefully in time the leather will be worn in and there will be less stiffness.
Because of the size and inability to expand, can't fit a whole lot in it. This literally can replace your wallet only plus maybe a cell phone and keys or compact camera. The many pockets are only big enough to put small things in such as money, change, lip gloss, pens, etc.
This to me is very overpriced. I paid $60 for it and I really think it should be around $30..$40 at most.
If this bag had an option to expand a little bit such as with an expandable compartment it would be the ultimate bag for me. The fact that I can't squeeze a lot into it really limits the number of uses. It is awesome for riding on my bike...I got the black leather one and it goes great with all my biker gear. The front flap is also great for any gals who want to be creative...how about a Harley Davidson patch or some rhinestones?
